If students dismiss home with a fever, they must be fever free for 24 hours before they return. This means that they should not return the next day. Students found in possession of medications without the proper paperwork on file will be subject to disciplinary action as noted in the Student Code of Conduct.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>OVER-THE-COUNTER MEDICATIONS: <\/strong><\/p><ul><li>ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN THE CLINIC TO BE DISPENSED TO STUDENTS!<\/li><li>Students may self-carry\u00a0<strong>over-the-counter\u00a0<\/strong>medications by submitting this completed form to the clinic and always keeping a copy with them. <a href=\"https:\/\/inside.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/health\/files\/2024\/05\/Non-Prescription-Medication-Parent-Guardian-Permission-for-Student-to-Self-Administer-1.pdf\">Self-Administration of Non-Prescription (OTC) Medication Form<\/a><\/li><li>All OTC medications\u00a0<strong>must\u00a0<\/strong>be in the original packaging (NO loose pills).<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>ELEVATOR PASSES:<\/strong><\/p><p>Elevator passes are issued through the clinic. Due to the limited number of elevators on campus, please help us prioritize use by need. With a parent note, a student may be issued a short-term elevator pass for up to a week.\u00a0Any long-term use requires a note from a healthcare provider stating the reason and duration for the use of the elevator. Elevator demand can cause backups between classes; students\u00a0are responsible for\u00a0arriving at class on time.<\/p><p><strong>END OF YEAR PROCEDURE<\/strong><\/p><p>Please plan to pick up your student\u2019s medications\/supplies in the clinic\u00a0by\u00a04:00 pm on\u00a0the last day of school\u00a0each year.\u202fSchool policy does not\u00a0allow\u00a0medications\u00a0to remain in the\u00a0clinic\u00a0over the summer.\u202fStudents may pick up\u00a0and transport\u00a0their emergency medications.\u00a0A parent\/guardian must pick up\/transport\u00a0all other prescription medications.
