Full-time enrollment in an online school requires enrollment in that school and withdrawing from the student’s current school.<\/p>\n

Part-time virtual school is an option for students who want to take a class for first time credit or for grade recovery.\u00a0 Students cannot withdraw from a current course on their Beachside schedule to enroll in the same course on virtual school.<\/p>\n

Students who withdraw from a traditional school before earning credit will need to repeat the entire semester\/segment. SJVS Part Time\/FLVS Flex works in semester\/segment credits only. To receive credit from SJVS Part Time\/FLVS Flex, students must complete the entire segment\/semester of a course.<\/p>\n

Virtual courses taken in addition to the 7 classes on a students BHS schedule will be approved if the course is not offered at BHS, and\/or the course is not the next course in the progression.<\/p>\n

There are two virtual options:<\/p>\n

St. Johns Virtual School<\/a><\/p>\n

Florida Virtual School<\/a><\/p>\n

If students already have an FLVS account, click here <\/a>for directions to change the physical school to Beachside.<\/p>\n

Please give the school counselor at least 1 week to approve courses.<\/p>\n

If you earned a semester letter grade of D or F and are interested in Grade Recovery, please discuss your options with your school counselor during 4th period open office hours.\u00a0 Important note – Edmentum recovery courses do not<\/u> meet NCAA core-course requirements. Therefore, any student with plans to participate in collegiate athletics should only take courses listed on their school\u2019s NCAA approved course list in a brick-and-mortar setting or through FLVS\/SJVS.<\/p>\n
