Beachside High School Attendance Information

Please submit the BHS ALL DAY ABSENCE FORM when your student is absent. This digital form is required to be submitted within 48 hours of the student returning to Beachside to be excused.

Please reach out to the teacher if you or your student has an issue with how the teacher marked your student’s attendance. If the teacher does not respond within 48 hours, please contact the Dean of Attendance at [email protected]

Tardies to School:

Students arriving late at school need to go through the front office and check in using our SWIPE system. If a student has an excused tardy, they need to submit their note in the Front Office. Students that have accumulated 15 or more total absences must have a doctor’s note to have their tardy excused.

Driving off Campus:

A parent note is required when a student needs to drive off campus during school hours. Early release notes must be submitted by 10:00AM. Parents will always be contacted before a student receives a pass to drive off campus. Parents: Please be available and have a current phone number.

No students will be dismissed after 3:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. No students will be dismissed after 2:00 pm on early release Wednesday.

Pre-Approved Absences:

In case of a planned absence, the parent or guardian needs to provide written notice at least five (5) days prior to the absence. The principal will determine whether an absence meets the criteria for an excused absence. Although submitting such a notice is, does not require the administration to treat the absence as excused. If you have any questions please contact the Dean of Attendance at [email protected]
