24 Credit Standard Diploma Requirements
Must Pass Two Assessments
- Algebra 1 End of Course Exam or concordant
- ACT Math 16 or
- SAT Math 420 or
- PSAT/NMSQT Math 430 or
- FAST Geometry EOC Level 3 or
- CLT Quantitative Reasoning Section 11
- Grade 10 FAST ELA PM 3 or concordant
- ACT Reading and English average 18 or
- SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 480 or
- CLT Verbal Reasoning and Grammar/Writing sections sum – 36
GPA
- 2.0 cumulative, unweighted GPA
24 Credits Must Be Earned in all of the Following:
- English 1, 2, 3, and 4 (or equivalent AP, AICE, Dual Enrollment)
- Algebra 1, Geometry, and two additional math courses
- Biology and two additional science courses
- World History, US History, Government, and Economics
- Fine and Performing Arts, Speech and Debate, Career and Technical Education, or Practical Arts
- HOPE (Health Opportunity through Physical Education)
- 8 elective credits (Only for students entering grade 9 in 2023-2024 and thereafter – to include 0.5 Credit in Personal Financial Literacy )
Please remember that World Language is NOT required for graduation; however, all four-year universities and the Bright Futures Scholarship require a minimum of two sequential years of the same World Language. At Beachside High School, we currently offer Spanish and American Sign Language.
