Freshmen will learn about high school graduation requirements, why GPA’s are important, Bright Futures requirements, community service, what colleges/universities are looking for, post-secondary visit/college fair information.

October 2

One Year Completed Toward Graduation, What to Consider for Year Two!

Sophomores will learn about PSAT/NMSQT and how to earn college credit in high school we will review Bright Futures requirements, graduation requirements, and community service.  Each sophomore will receive their credit detail report to take home.

Students will learn about the many paths they can take after high school.  Students will complete a career interest inventory via Xello.

JUNIORS:

Why is My Junior Year Critical for Choices Beyond High School?

Each junior will receive their individual credit detail report and we will review information with them about:  Bright Futures requirements, ACT/SAT/CLT information, graduation requirements, post-secondary options, community service, researching post-secondary education, and applying to post-secondary schools.

Have I Met the Requirements to Graduate High School?

Each senior will receive a customized credit analysis to take home and meet individually with their counselor to go over their remaining graduation requirements.

Financial Aid Seminars – Learn about federal, state, institutional, and private financial aid.  Each senior will receive their Bright Futures evaluation and be guided in completing the Florida Financial Aid Application.
